What we collect, and who sees it
Perform is a work-style assessment. It is not a test you pass or fail, and it is not a background check.
What we ask you for
Your name, your email address, and your answers to the assessment: which words feel like you, which of four words is most and least like you, and how much you usually have left at the end of a working day. We also record how long each screen took and how often an answer was changed, which is used to tell a considered profile from a rushed one.
Who sees the result
It depends on the door you came through, and the start screen says which one you are on.
- You took it for yourself. The profile is yours. It is shown to you and emailed to you. No employer sees it unless you share it.
- An organization invited you, or you applied for a position. That organization sees your profile: how you work, what the profile reads as, and how it reads against the role. They do not see your answers one by one, and one part of the profile is never shown to any employer. You see your own full profile at the end.
How long we keep it
Your answers are kept as a record of that one sitting, so the profile can always be re-derived rather than rewritten. We use pooled, unnamed answers to keep the scoring honest as more people take it. Ask us and we will delete your record.
Answers in progress
While you are taking the assessment, your answers are held in your own browser on the device you are using so that a refresh does not cost you the whole thing. They are not sent to us until you finish, and they do not follow you to another device or another browser.
